Gift Card Terms and Conditions
- General Terms
The North Face, a division of VF Outdoor, Inc's ("The North Face") eGift Cards and Plastic Gift Cards (collectively "Gift Cards") are distributed by CashStar, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("CashStar"). By visiting https://thenorthface.cashstar.com, you agree that the laws of the State of California, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Gift Card terms and conditions ("Ts & Cs"). The North Face and CashStar reserve the right to change these Ts & Cs from time to time in its discretion. The North Face Gift Cards are issued by The North Face.
- Gift Cards
The North Face Gift Cards are redeemable only for purchase of merchandise at The North Face branded retail stores owned and operated by VF Outdoor, Inc located in the United States (including The North Face branded Outlets) and online at www.thenorthface.com. Gift Cards cannot be used at any other retail store or website. Gift Cards can be redeemed only for merchandise and cannot be redeemed for cash or applied as payment to any account.

With the exception of shipping fees for customers who choose expedited shipping for plastic Gift Cards, no service or use fees of any kind will be imposed on purchasers or recipients of Gift Cards in connection with the sale of Gift Cards.

eGift Cards cannot be reloaded at this time. You may be able to reload your Plastic Gift Cards at a The North Face owned and operated retail store.
- View Your Balance
To view your Gift Card balance, follow the instructions on the email message which notified you of your eGift Card, or on the back of your plastic Gift Card. You must possess the Gift Card/eGift Card number and PIN number in order to check your balance.
You may not return or cancel your The North Face Gift Card after it is sent by CashStar. Purchasers who wish to cancel a Gift Card purchase prior to its delivery to a recipient should contact CashStar Customer Support prior to the delivery date selected during the purchase process.
- Lost or Stolen Gift Cards
If you suspect that someone has copied or stolen your Gift Card, contact CashStar Customer Support immediately. Gift Cards will not be replaced if lost or stolen without the purchaser's confirmation email as proof of purchase. Gift Cards have cash value and should be safeguarded accordingly. Neither CashStar nor The North Face are responsible if any Gift Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without your permission.
The maximum value that can be associated with any one Gift Card is five hundred dollars ($500.00) and total purchases for any one individual may not exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) in one calendar day.
You may not use a Gift Card to purchase other Gift Cards. Gift Cards cannot be reloaded (except as provided herein), resold, transferred for value, or redeemed for cash, except to the extent required by law. Void if resold, transferred for value, or redeemed for cash. Unused Gift Cards may not be transferred.

- Risk of Loss
Ownership and risk of loss of eGift Cards passes to the purchaser as soon as we send our confirmation to the recipient and risk of loss passes to the recipient as soon as a plastic Gift Card is delivered to the designated carrier. We are not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Cards. If you have any questions, please see the FAQs.

If you need assistance with any aspect of your purchase, ownership, or use of your Gift Card, please contact CashStar Customer Support. Please refer to your order number or email address.
- Payment Methods
Gift Cards may be paid for with a valid VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express card, or with PayPal.
- Delivery Information and Requirements for Gift Card Purchasers
All orders of Gift Cards are subject to a process that compares purchaser information provided on the web site with information about the purchaser provided by the purchaser's financial institution. If there is a discrepancy, your Gift Card order may be delayed until it can be corrected.
If the date on which you want an eGift Card delivered has passed and you have not received confirmation that the eGift Card was sent, please contact CashStar Customer Support. Please refer to your order number or email address.
We are not responsible for Gift Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to your failure to enter an accurate email address or physical delivery address for the recipient. Please check to make sure the email address or physical delivery address of the recipient is correct and contact CashStar Customer Support if you suspect the recipient did not receive his/her Gift Card. Should an email be returned to us due to inaccurate delivery information for the recipient, we will attempt to contact you for a valid email address.
- Reasons for Failed Delivery of eGift Cards
If you have confirmed the recipient's email address but the eGift Card has not been viewed within a reasonable period after the requested delivery date, following is a list of the most common reasons why delivery may have failed:
- Spam filter blocked email or routed it to a bulk/spam folder
- Recipient's firewall blocked the email
- Email inbox is over size limit
- Invalid email address

- Personalized Messaging
If you wish to add a personal message to a Gift Card, simply type your message in the Message field on the Gift Card preview.
Personal messages are limited in length to the space provided on the Gift Card.
There is no additional charge to include a personalized message.
If we find inappropriate, offensive or otherwise objectionable messages, we reserve the right to cancel them. Thanks for your cooperation.
- Uploaded Images on eGift Card
You may upload your own image for display on an eGift Card.
There is no additional charge to include your own image.
We reserve the right to replace images that infringe upon trademark or copyright law. As part of your electronic Gift Card purchase, you (or, if you are under 18 years old, your parent or legal guardian) hereby grant to The North Face and CashStar and their affiliates and agents a nonexclusive, royalty free, worldwide license to use the uploaded image, including all intellectual property rights associated with the uploaded image, to create an electronic Gift Card of the uploaded image (the "License"). You, (or, if you are under 18 years old, your parent or legal guardian) represent and warrant that (1) your grant of the License does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademarks, contract rights or any other rights of any person or entity, (2) if you are uploading a company logo or other copyrighted materials, that you are authorized to grant the License to use the uploaded company logo or copyrighted materials to create an electronic Gift Card, and (3) you have full authority and rights to grant the License and to make the representations and warranties contained herein. CashStar reserves the right to cancel any order for an image that it, in its sole discretion, deems potentially unlawful or inappropriate without notice or explanation. We reserve the right to replace inappropriate, offensive, or otherwise objectionable images.

- Limitation of Liability
CASHSTAR AND ITS AFFILIATES AND THE NORTH FACE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO GIFT CARDS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IF A GIFT CARD CODE IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, SHALL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH GIFT CARD. CERTAIN STATE LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MIGHT HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
